Lopik municipality / Gemeente Lopik (U)
The Lopik municipality covers the south-western part of the Utrecht province. The municipality is named after the eponymous village and covers most of the Lopikerwaard polder. It contains a number of originally linear settlements in an otherwise mostly agricultural area. This page shows churches in some of the villages but is not complete.
De gemeente Lopik beslaat het zuidwestelijke deel van de provincie Utrecht. De gemeente is vernoemd naar het gelijknamige dorp en beslaat het grootste deel van de polder Lopikerwaard. Zij bestaat uit een aantal in oorsprong lintdorpen in een verder overwegend agrarisch gebied. Deze pagina toont kerken in sommige van de dorpen, maar is niet compleet.
The reformed church is an aisleless cruciform church with a late-Romanesque tower from the 13th century while the church itself was built in ca. 1500 and is in Gothic style.

The St. Victor is a cruciform basilica in neo-Gothic style, designed by A. Tepe and built in 1887-1888.

The reformed church is an aisleless cruciform church in Gothic style which largely dates from the 15th and 16th centuries. Originally much longer, the church lost its tower and four traves of the nave due to sagging in 1818.

De hervormde kerk is een eenbeukige kruiskerk in gotische stijl die grotendeels uit de 15e en 16e eeuw stamt. Oorspronkelijk was de kerk veel langer, maar door schade als gevolg van verzakking moesten in 1818 de toren en vier traveeën
van het schip worden gesloopt.

The reformed church is made up of an aisleless nave from the 14th century and a choir and a tower from the 15th century, all in Gothic style. The balustrade around the spire was added in 1954-1958.

The St. Jacobus is a three-aisled cruciform basilica in Expressionist style, designed by H. Kroes and his son W.C.A. Kroes and built in 1926-1928.
