Maurik (G):
reformed church
 The former church of St.
Maarten, now reformed church, in Maurik is
a three-aisled pseudo-basilica in late-Gothic style. The church has a
tower that largely dates from the 14th century; only the upper segment
dates from the 16th century. The choir was built in the second half of
the 15th century. In the first quarter of the 16th century the nave
with its south portal were built. Of special interest is the shape of
the windows, which are not the usual pointed ones but have a more
semi-elliptic shape instead. Similar late-Gothic windows are found at
the church of Zoelen.
