Ammerzoden's reformed church actually is only the choir of this otherwise mostly ruined former church of Our Lady, although the tower is also still very complete. In between these two parts are the remains of what must have been a basilican church. Part of the tower is the western wall of the church, which dates from the 13th century. The tower itself and the choir are a century younger. The choir was seperated from the rest of the church in 1632. The nave and transept, both in late-Gothic style from the early 16th century with decorative layers of natural stone, were neglected since. Today they form an intriguing ruin.
