Dalfsen (Ov): St. Cyriacus (A. Vosman, 1938)
This catholic church was declared a municipal monument in 2009, after having been threathened with demolition for several years. The church was built in 1938 and replaced a building from 1817. A. Vosman, an architect from Deventer, designed a three-aisled basilica in Traditionalist style. At the front is a short tower, on both sides flanked by tall but undeep chapel-like spaces. The nave has a wide central aisle and narrow side-aisles. The fifth trave of the nave is longer and higher than the others and has gables, forming a pseudo-transept. The church ends at the eastern side with a straight choir.
