Nissewaard municipality / Gemeente Nissewaard (ZH)
Municipality on the island Voorne-Putten, covering the eastern part of the island. The municipality was formed in 2015 by the merger of the municipalities of Bernisse and Spijkenisse. This page shows churches in several of the villages and townds of the former Bernisse municipality.
Gemeente op het eiland Voorne-Putten, bestande uit het oostelijke deel van het eiland. De gemeente werd in 2015 gevormd door de fusie van de gemeenten Bernisse en Spijkenisse. Deze pagina toont kerken in enkele van de dorpen en steden van de voormalige gemeente Bernisse.
The Reformed church is of special importance for its choir, which dates from the 13th century and is one of the oldest examples of Gothic architecture in the region. The tower dates from the first half of 15th century while the nave was built at the end of that century.

De Hervormde kerk is van bijzonder belang vanwege het koor, dat dateert uit de 13e eeuw en een van de oudste voorbeelden van gotische architectuur in de regio is. De toren dateert uit de eerste helft van de 15e eeuw, terwijl het schip gebouwd werd aan het eind van die eeuw.

The Reformed church is a big aisleless church in Gothic style, although decorations on the tower remind of Romanesque. It dates from the 15th and 16th centuries and was destroyed by fire in 1918. After this it was restorted by H. van der Kloot Meijburg. During the restoration the 16th-century side-aisle was demolished.

De Hervormde kerk is een grote zaalkerk in gotische stijl, hoewel de decoraties op de toren herinneren aan het romaans. De kerk dateert uit de 15e en 16e eeuw en werd verwoest door een brand in 1918. Daarna werd zij gerestaureerd door H. van der Kloot Meijburg. Tijdens de restauratie werd de 16de-eeuwse zijbeuk gesloopt.

The Reformed church is a three-aisled pseudo-basilica in Gothic style from the 15th and 16th centuries. Before the Reformation it was a chapter church and that explains why it has such a long choir. The tower was not completed.

De Hervormde kerk is een driebeukige pseudobasiliek in gotische stijl uit de 15e en 16e eeuw. Het was voor de Reformatie een kapittelkerk en dat verklaart het lange koor. De toren is onvoltooid gebleven.

The Reformed church is a small two-aisled building in Gothic style. Until 1824 the church was bigger; that year the nave was shortened on the west side and given its current front with the small tower.

De Hervormde kerk is een klein tweebeukig gebouw in gotische stijl. Tot1824 was de kerk groter; in dat jaar werd het schip aan de westkant ingekort en kreeg de kerk de nieuwe voorgevel met torentje.
