De gemeente Molengraaf is gelegen in het zuidoostelijke deel van de provincie Zuid-Holland en het noordwestelijke deel van de Alblasserwaard. De gemeente werd gevormd in 2013 door de fusie van de gemeenten Graafstroom, Liesveld en Nieuw-Lekkerland. Molenwaard ligt in de zogenaamde Bijbelgordel en heeft een overwegend protestantse bevolking.
Deze pagina is niet compleet, met name Nieuw-Lekkerland ontbreekt nog, maar toont wel alle belangrijke kerken in de voormalige gemeentes Graafstroom en Liesveld.
Apart from its Gothic tower, dating from 1393, the Reformed church of Oud-Alblas is a building in rather plain neo-Classical style, built in 1841.

Bleskensgraaf was largely destroyed by German
bombs on May 12th 1940. Its old church was not rebuilt but replaced in 1948 by
the current Reformed church, a
building in Traditionalistic style, designed by
G. van Hoogevest.

The Reformed church of Brandwijk was built in 1824 and replaced a Gothic church. The tower was probably added later.

Eben Haëzer is the church of the Gereformeerden of Brandwijk. It was built in 1897 and is in a neo-Classical style like so many churches built by this denomination in the late 19th century.

The Reformed church of Ottoland dates from 1732 and was built in a simple Classical style. It was designed by Jan Pluym, town-architect of Dordrecht.

The Gereformeerde kerk was, like several other churches of the same denomination in this region, built in the shape of a farmbuilding, with vicarage and church forming a single building. This church dates from 1888 and is in simple neo-Classical style.

The Reformed church of Goudriaan originally was a cruciform building, but it was drastically rebuilt after a storm damaged it in 1747. The choir and the tower are its oldest parts.

The Reformed church of the small fortified town of Nieuwpoort is a three-aisled building in Gothic style. The facade in Classical style however dates from 1774, when the tower of the church was demolished.

The Christelijke Gereformeerde Kerk in the same town is a former cheese warehouse made into a church in 1921. The facade was added in that year.

The Reformed church of Streefkerk was built in c. 1500 and is a cruciform building in Gothic style. It was damaged by fire in 1914 and restored in its original state afterwards.
