Municipality covering the western part of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, consisting of the towns and villages of Oostburg, Breskens, Aardenburg, Sluis, IJzendijke, Schoondijke, Groede, Eede, Hoofdplaat, Cadzand, Zuidzande, Waterlandkerkje, Nieuwvliet, Retranchement and Sint Kruis and numerous hamlets like Sint Anna ter Muiden.

The reformed church or St. Bavo is the most complete example of Schelde-Gothic in the Netherlands, a transitional style between Romanesque and Gothic.

The Mennonite church Het Lam ('the lamb') was built as a hidden church in 1636, but was replaced by a new building in 1792-1793. It was still hidden behind a house then, but in 1887-1888 the house was replaced by a meeting-hall and a gate with a tower, all in neo-Renaissance style.

De Doopsgezinde Kerk Het Lam werd gebouwd als een schuilkerk in 1636, maar werd vervangen door een nieuw gebouw in 1792-1793. De kerk was toen nog steeds verborgen achter een huis maar in 1887-1888 werd dit huis vervangen door een vergaderzaal en een portaal met een toren, alles in neorenaissance stijl en ontworpen door K. Stoffels.

The Roman Catholic O.L. Vrouwe Hemelvaart was built in 1850-1851. It was designed by P.J. Soffers in early neo-Gothic style. In 1924-1925 the choir was replaced by a new, bigger eastern part, designed by N.J.H. van Groenendael.

The reformed church of Sint Kruis is a one-aisled Gothic church from the 14th and 15th centuries, and all that remains of a much bigger three-aisled cruciform church.

The St. Joannes de Doper in Sluis is a late neo-Gothic church, designed by architect J. Oomen and built in 1925-1928.

Although once an important town in its own right, Sint Anna ter Muiden is now a tiny hamlet just outside Sluis. Its reformed church with 14th-century tower is all that's left of a much larger Gothic church.

The reformed church or Mariakerk of Cadzand is an early Gothic building from the 13th and 14th centuries. It has changed much over the years, and what appears to be a Renaissance tower was in fact added in 1928-1929.
