Overbetuwe is a municipality covering part of the east of the Betuwe region and consisting of 12 villages, the largest of which is Elst. The municipality was formed in 2001 by merging the former municipalities of Elst, Heteren and Valburg.

Randwijk
The Reformed church was built after World War Two, incorporating the 15th-century Gothic choir of its predecessor which had been destroyed in 1944. The new church, with a pseudo-Gothic nave and a tower-like portal in Traditionalist style, was designed by W.J.G. van Mourik and completed in 1953.

The Reformed church is a late-Gothic aisleless church, with a nave from the 14th century which was heightened in ca. 1500, when also the tower was built. The higher choir was built in the second half of the 15th century.
